It has been two weeks since I put up a verse and word of the week and I want to apologies for that. Well, here they are:

egoism- Conceit; valuing everything according to one's personal interest; excessive confidence in the righteousness of one's own opinion.

This girl's egoism was clearly shown when her phone bill was over $300.00 after only one month.

The verse of the week tells us how not to have egoism:

"Little Children, you are from God and have overcome them, for He who is in you is greater that He who is in the world." I John 4:4

Verse and Word of the Week

Your verse of the week is such a valuable verse, I think everyone should memorize it.  It is very simple.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23

I took this picture of a deer on a trip to Mount Rainier.  This innocent dear, like all of us, deserves death because it, like us, was born into a sinful world.  Christ Jesus came a saved us from bondage.  He loves us so much that he did this for us.

Your word of the week is a word from my vocabulary book:

xenophobia

n. Fear or hatred of what is strange or foreign, or of foreigners.

Adrian Monk is a xenophobic and he proved it when he went to Mexico and would not touch any of the people there and drank only the water that he brought from home.
